Note that there is another entrance/exit to the hotel on the NW side that comes to a light.
Clean, comfortable hotel with friendly service. They do have a bar/food options and I was not disappointed with any of my choices during my stay. They had half off apps and cheap draft beer til 7pm. The shuttle service will take you to/from the airport as well as the MARC stations and local entertainmemt/restaurants. There is not much to do within walking distance, and there's lots of heavy truck traffic most of the time.
The staff was very polite and accommodating. The beds were comfortable with nice fluffy pillows. The DJ for the evening of 8-6-17 was very good and kept us entertained with playing a little bit of everything for everybody (years/genre). However, I was not satisfied with the food at all. Most of the dinner was bland (taste processed ) and the fish was LOADED with ole bay as a garnish (
Will visit again but didn't like that I had to buy food because included food wasn't appertizing.
The location is quiet and my room is far from the elevator thankfully. The restaurant food was enjoyable but the breakfast buffet eggs were on a burner that was too high. Laundry services unavailable due to non working machines. Front desk did nothing to accommodate this problem. No microwave in room as it had to be ordered. Was put on desk instead of near the TV and fridge. Staff was very warm and friendly except for one person at front desk upon entrance of stay.
Very nice and clean hotel in a convenient place, lots of highways and shops in the area. Staff is hit or miss. Restaurant is hit or miss too. Don't go on Wednesdays during the manager reception, free booze and appetizers. Not enough staff for the amount of people. Was not checked in with once. Took an hour from sitting down to food to getting my check. Food was luke warm once and not cooked to medium the other.
We have stayed here several times a year for the past six years. The hotel is lovely. Beds are comfortable and rooms are nice. I must say that our last visit was a bit disappointing with regard to the front desk staff. We waited to check in while the person on duty chatted and joked with another employee. When he did get to checking us in, I expected a more friendly greeting considering that we are returning guests. That is one of the best qualities of the Apex, NC Hilton Inn Express—- its southern hospitality and the genuine welcome we get each and every time. It’s always nice to feel like your business is appreciated. I also missed the lovely water jar with lemons as you come into the lobby. Restaurant was fine.
